Starting in 2006 following Hurricane Katrina the Mission Team began traveling to areas hit by flooding and hurricanes. Engaging in Mission Trips provides an excellent opportunity for individuals from the Frederick County community to come together and travel to regions facing challenges with substandard or storm-damaging housing, aiming to improve living conditions. For more than 18 years, Habitat for Humanity of Frederick County’s mission team has traveled to other areas of the country that have been struck by disaster to help residents rebuild.
