Rockin' Blues and R&B for da' house!
Batesville Blues Band benefit performance for Habitat

“The Batesville Blues Band's Rockin' Blues and R&B for da' house!” benefit for Habitat for Humanity will be on Saturday, September 25, 2004 starting at 9:00 p.m. at the Bentz Street Raw Bar, 6 South Bentz St., Frederick. A $10.00 donation at the door goes to Habitat.

The Batesville Blues Band started in the late 1980s when seven University of Virginia grad students loved jamming to blues and R&B every Thursday in the foothills near Batesville, Va. Hailing from up and down the East Coast, the band gets together once a year at one of their hometowns to relive good times.

Each year they play to benefit a local charity. This year they will play at the Bentz Street Raw Bar in Frederick -- where they last appeared to a packed house in May 1999 -- to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Frederick County.
The seven-piece band features a horn section (trombone, sax, harmonica), guitars, bass, and drums; and rocks with up-tempo, danceable R&B, swing, and blues favorites.
