Habitat of Frederick Under New Leadership

Habitat for Humanity of Frederick County recently appointed Ron Cramer board president and Larry Snody
vice-president. In an unrelated move the Board of Directors also hired L. Kent Adcock as new executive director.
Adcock replaces Dee Danmeyer, previous executive director, who moved to Florida in late May to become
executive director of the Orlando Affiliate of Habitat. Earlier the non-profit had hired Tammy Holley as office
manager after receiving a Knott Foundation Grant.
New Leadership on-board at Frederick County Habitat are (from left): Tammy Holley, Office Manager; Ron Cramer, President; L. Kent Adcock, Executive Director; and Larry Snody, Vice President.

Cramer has been on the Habitat Board of Directors since 2002. He first served on the Public Relations Committee and later became committee chair. Last year he was vice-president of the organization presided over by Billy Shreve.

Cramer is a past president of the Frederick Jaycees and a member of the Association of Information Technology Professionals. He is the Coordinator of Business/Technology for State Farm Insurance, Mid-Atlantic Zone. He is also the
owner and president of the Real Neat Corporation, which operates a Ceiling Pro Dealership

Ron and wife Valerie reside in Adamstown, Maryland.

Newly appointed as vice-president is Larry Snody, retired U.S. Air Force lieutenant colonel and American Airlines captain and member of Brook Hill United Methodist Church where he has served on the Outreach Committee for many years. He is a member
of Habitat’s Church Relations Committee and has been steering committee chair for two recent Habitat projects: a home completed in Brunswick in 2004 and a home currently under construction in Emmitsburg, Maryland, in partnership with Mt. St. Mary’s University and Gettysburg College. Snody is a member of the Pen-Mar Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America and also a member of the Frederick American Legion Post #11.

Larry and wife Maria reside in Frederick City.

Adcock comes to Habitat with an extensive background in non-profit business management. He has a unique blend of management and ministry expertise, serving as an ordained minister and formerly chief operating officer of a $125,000,000 charitable non-profit in Indiana. Over the last 25 years he has served on several church ministry staffs and has been a partner in a consulting firm assisting the Indiana Department of Revenue and the Indiana State Retirement Fund. He is a certified moderator of market research focus groups and a certified grant administrator for the Indiana Department of Commerce.

Kent and his wife Melanie reside in Frederick.

Tammy Holley brings to Habitat 15 years of administrative, customer service and sales experience working for a local printing firm. She has had extensive computer training in the main-line office programs on which Habitat depends. Tammy is a member of the Potomac Believers Fellowship Church in Brunswick where she lives with her husband Bruce.
